National television audience, meet Oakland’s Urban Promise Academy.
Tune in to the Today Show Thursday, December 17, to watch a segment on “schools beating the odds.” NBC chose three schools from around the country, and UPA was one of them! The segment should air around 8:30 AM on Thursday. If you can’t watch it live, set your DVR or Tivo, or visit http://today.msnbc.com/ to watch the clip online. The UPA footage was shot two weeks ago, but a Today Show crew is returning to UPA this Thursday at 5 AM to capture live footage. When the segment airs, they will cut to a live shot of our campus!
