UPA draws strength from its many collaborations with local community partners, including OCO, BayCES, the Native American Health Center and La Clinica, who offer free mental and physical health services to students; Oakland Leaf, the school’s after-school partner, who offers free tutoring and multimedia programs; OTX, who provides free computers and training for families; and the Oakland Small Schools Foundation, which supports UPA in fundraising, program monitoring, and financial management.
